We are currently seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in a rural, scenic area near Jamieson, Oregon. This role is ideal for a board-certified physician who is adaptable, experienced with rural healthcare, and looking to provide essential medical services in a close-knit community.


Position Overview:



  • Role: Emergency Medicine Physician (Locum Tenens)

  • Location: Rural Oregon, near Jamieson

  • Shifts: 24-hour shifts, in-house coverage

  • Monthly Shifts Required: Minimum of 6 shifts

  • Patient Volume: Approx. 21 patients per 24-hour shift

  • Patient Levels: Primarily Levels 3, 4, and 5 (about 72%)

  • Inpatient Coverage: Provided by primary care physicians, available 24/7

  • Transfer and Consultation Support: Single call to Medical Access Center for coordination

  • EMR System: EPIC

Requirements:



  • Licensure: Active Oregon medical license (or IMLC for portability)

  • Experience: Preferably local candidates with a clean background and no malpractice history

  • Certifications: DEA, Controlled Substance Registration, BLS

  • Documentation for Credentialing:

    • MD diploma and training certifications

    • Medical licenses and board certification

    • Life support certifications and immunization records

    • Malpractice and/or background documentation

    • Recent CMEs and case logs

    • References, updated CV, and contact information
