Seeking a Qualified and Experienced Emergency Medicine Physician


Are you a dedicated and highly skilled Emergency Medicine physician passionate about providing exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment? We're searching for a qualified physician to join our team in a growing community near Orick, CA. This ongoing locum tenens opportunity offers a predictable schedule with no call requirements, starting as soon as possible (ASAP).


Responsibilities:



  • Deliver comprehensive emergency medical care to a diverse adult and pediatric patient population in our state-of-the-art emergency department (ED).

  • Conduct thorough patient history and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, CT scans, lab work), and develop effective treatment plans.

  • Perform a variety of emergency procedures, including suturing, wound care, casting, and other interventions as needed.

  • Collaborate with nurses, advanced practice providers, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Manage patient flow within the ED, prioritizing urgent cases and ensuring timely care delivery.

  • Document medical records accurately and efficiently within the EPIC electronic medical record system.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in emergency medicine and participate in ongoing professional development activities.


Qualifications:



  • Active and unrestricted California (CA) medical license is mandatory.

  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine is mandatory.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical emergency medicine setting is preferred.

  • Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in emergency medicine.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a high-pressure environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment, making critical decisions under time pressure.
