Are you a dedicated and experienced Emergency Medicine physician seeking a locum tenens opportunity to contribute your skills in a fast-paced and supportive healthcare setting near Shoals, Indiana? We are actively searching for a qualified physician to join our team and provide vital care for patients experiencing emergencies around the clock. This locum tenens position offers a flexible schedule with varied shifts (12 or 24 hours), including in-house call, allowing you to make a significant impact while tailoring your work experience.


24/7 Coverage in a Critical Access Hospital:



  • Continuous Care: Play a pivotal role in ensuring 24/7 emergency medical coverage within a Critical Access Hospital setting.

  • Diverse Patient Population: Treat a wide range of medical emergencies within a rural community, providing essential care to patients in need.


Supportive Environment and Streamlined Workflow:



  • Manageable Patient Volume: Contribute to a manageable annual emergency room volume of approximately 9,120 patients, allowing for personalized attention.

  • Skilled Team: Collaborate with a team of highly trained and experienced nurses and emergency room technicians to deliver optimal patient care.

  • Advanced Resources: Benefit from access to two fully equipped trauma rooms, six treatment rooms, and readily available ancillary services such as Diagnostic Imaging, Respiratory Therapy, Laboratory, and Social Services.

  • Efficient Documentation: Utilize the familiar EDIS (Medhost) electronic medical record system for streamlined documentation.


Qualifications and Requirements:



  • Board Certification: Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine is mandatory.

  • Essential Certifications: Maintain current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS. If not ABEM certified, ATLS can be completed within the first year of obtaining privileges.

  • Active Licenses: Possess an active Indiana medical license and DEA registration.
