Are you a dedicated and experienced Emergency Medicine physician seeking a locum tenens opportunity to contribute your skills to a supportive healthcare setting near Tolar, Texas? We are actively searching for a qualified physician to join our team and provide vital care for patients experiencing emergencies during various shifts, including weekends and on-call periods. This locum tenens position offers the flexibility to work a variety of shift lengths (12 and 24 hours), allowing you to tailor your schedule while making a significant impact.


Support During Physician Shortage:



  • Immediate Need: Help bridge a staffing gap resulting from two physicians being off the schedule for 1-2 months.

  • Dynamic Environment: Apply your expertise within a Level 4 trauma center environment, treating a diverse range of medical emergencies.


Supportive Resources and Streamlined Workflow:



  • Manageable Patient Volume: Contribute to a monthly emergency room volume of approximately 575 patients, ensuring you can provide personalized care.

  • Experienced Staff: Collaborate with a skilled emergency department team who respond to house codes and write admission orders.

  • Meditech Expertise: Utilize the familiar Meditech Expanse electronic medical record system for efficient documentation.

  • Specialty Support: Benefit from readily available consultations with radiologists and cardiologists for complex cases.


Qualifications and Requirements:



  • Board Certification: Board-certified or truly board-eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine is mandatory.

  • Essential Certifications: Maintain current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS. If not ABEM certified, ATLS can be completed within the first year of obtaining privileges.

  • Active Licenses: Possess an active Texas medical license and DEA registration.
