Associate Directors Purpose:
As the Associate Program Director, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Fostering an environment conducive to resident growth and development.
- Educating residents to meet the needs of the community and provide compassionate care.
- Guiding residents to partner with diverse, underserved populations.
- Preparing residents to deliver comprehensive family medicine care in a changing healthcare landscape.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Engage in approximately 80% preceptorship and 20% clinical practice.
- Provide one day per week of direct outpatient care and four days per week of supervising/administering residents.
- Assist in residency program practice management and overall operations.
- Support the Program Director in resident recruitment and selection.
- Maintain ongoing clinical activity consistent with ACGME guidelines.
- Participate in teaching residents through clinical and didactic work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current board certification in Family Medicine by ABFM or AOBFP.
- Eligibility for unrestricted Active Medical Staff Privileges.
- Understanding of ACGME accreditation requirements.
- History of academic achievements and scholarly activity.
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities.
- Core faculty experience preferred.
