Internal Medicine/Family Medicine Physician Opportunity Near LONG ISLAND CITY, NY
Job Summary:
We are actively seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained physician to join our healthcare team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care in the Long Island City, NY area.
Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Primary Care:
- Provide a full scope of primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance.
- Patient Evaluation:
- Review patients history and perform physical examinations.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care.
- Refer patients to specialists as needed.
- Clinical Diagnostics:
- Provide quality clinical diagnostic skills in the delivery of patient care.
- Review all test results and recommend suitable management for the patient, including preventive health recommendations and habits.
- Prescription and Management:
- Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.
- Relationship-Centered Care:
- Provide relationship-centered care, considering the patients psychosocial and physical needs.
- Documentation and Communication:
- Collect and record patient information, maintaining complete and accurate medical records.
- Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure the total delivery of quality care.
- Education and Collaboration:
- Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or foreign equivalent.
- Residency: Completion of a three-year postgraduate medical training from a accredited residency program in Internal Medicine and/or Family Medicine.
- Experience: Open to both experienced and newly trained providers.
- Certification: Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal Medicine and/or Family Medicine.
- Licensure: Must possess a current, unrestricted New York State license or be eligible for licensure.
- Registration: Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.
- Enrollment: Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
- Certification: BLS or ACLS strongly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Technology Comfort: Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office.
Medical Office Hours of Operation:
- Monday-Wednesday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM 8:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
