We are actively searching for a skilled and dedicated physician to join our team and provide call coverage for a specific scheduling need. This short-term locum tenens position offers the chance to make a significant impact while maintaining schedule flexibility.

  • Streamlined Credentialing Process: With a streamlined credentialing process taking approximately 5 days, you can begin your assignment quickly.


What You'll Do:



  • Respond to call needs and provide timely consultations and management plans for inpatients with a variety of medical conditions, encompassing both adult and pediatric patients.

  • Collaborate with referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.

  • Review patient charts, order diagnostic tests as needed, and recommend appropriate treatment plans.

  • Conduct bedside examinations and procedures as needed to ensure patient well-being.

  • Document all patient interactions and treatment decisions thoroughly and efficiently within the MEDHOST electronic medical records system.

  • Participate in hospital-wide initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance patient care within the inpatient department (time permitting).


Who You Are:



  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a current and active license to practice medicine in Tennessee (only).

  • Board-certified in either Family Medicine or Pediatrics by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) (required).

  • Current BLS certification (required).

  • A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to inpatients of all ages within a hospital setting.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

  • The ability to manage a fast-paced call environment while maintaining a high level of clinical judgment and decision-making.
