Job Summary:



  • A healthcare organization is actively seeking a Family Medicine Program Director for their upcoming Family Medicine Residency Program.


Qualified Candidates:



  • Must be Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.

  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of faculty experience in an ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.

  • Should have at least 3 years of GME administrative experience before appointment.

  • Willingness to combine Administrative and Diagnostic (teaching) Responsibilities.

  • Strong administrative and team-building skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the program and recruit their own core faculty.

  • Candidates with recent scholarly activity, such as peer-reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles, or participation in national committees, are highly encouraged to apply.

  • The incoming physician will receive a faculty appointment through Mercer University.


About the Opportunity/Practice:



  • This multi-specialty practice comprises over 50 providers, including 34 physicians, 10 PAs, and 12 NPs.

  • Responsibilities involve a 50% focus on Patient Care and 50% on GME Administrative Duties.

  • Patient demographic covers the full adult spectrum.

  • Supervision of up to 4 mid-level providers.

  • EMR system utilized is ECW and Athena.
