Job Summary:
- A healthcare organization is actively seeking a Family Medicine Program Director for their upcoming Family Medicine Residency Program.
Qualified Candidates:
- Must be Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.
- Requires a minimum of 3 years of faculty experience in an ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.
- Should have at least 3 years of GME administrative experience before appointment.
- Willingness to combine Administrative and Diagnostic (teaching) Responsibilities.
- Strong administrative and team-building skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the program and recruit their own core faculty.
- Candidates with recent scholarly activity, such as peer-reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles, or participation in national committees, are highly encouraged to apply.
- The incoming physician will receive a faculty appointment through Mercer University.
About the Opportunity/Practice:
- This multi-specialty practice comprises over 50 providers, including 34 physicians, 10 PAs, and 12 NPs.
- Responsibilities involve a 50% focus on Patient Care and 50% on GME Administrative Duties.
- Patient demographic covers the full adult spectrum.
- Supervision of up to 4 mid-level providers.
- EMR system utilized is ECW and Athena.
