We have an exciting locum tenens opportunity for a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist in the upstate New York area, near Dryden. This position requires a skilled physician to provide high-quality care in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be available for several upcoming dates in late 2024 and have a valid New York medical license.

Position Details:

• Location: Near Dryden, NY


• Start Date: November 8, 2024


• Duration: Ongoing


• Shifts: 24-hour call, Monday to Sunday


• Weekend Requirements: Yes


• On-Call Requirements: 24-hour call coverage

Specific Dates Needed:

• 11/08/24 - 11/15/24 (7 AM to 7 AM)


• 11/25/24 - 12/09/24


• 12/23/24 - 12/29/24

Key Responsibilities:

• Acute care management in a hospital setting


• Provide gastroenterology services and take call during shifts


• ERPC experience is a plus but not required


• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care

Facility Information:

• Trauma Level: Level 3


• EMR System: eClinicalWorks (OP) and Quadramed (IP)


• Credentialing timeframe: 4-6 weeks (emergency privileges available)


• Credentialing costs not covered

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology Required


• Active New York State medical license Required


• BLS and ACLS certifications Required


• Ability to provide references, NPI/license information, and malpractice documentation
