Locum Tenens Opportunity: Gastroenterology Physician (CA - Near Redding, ASAP - Ongoing)


We are seeking two Gastroenterology Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in California near the Redding area. The ideal candidates should be board certified and licensed in California with an active CA Fluoroscopy license. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, along with scheduled clinical hours and call duties. Candidates with ERCP experience are highly preferred.


The start date is ASAP, with potential for an ongoing assignment. We are looking for physicians who can provide a minimum of two weeks of coverage per month, though we may consider those who can provide at least one week of coverage each month. Physicians will be scheduled for regular shifts from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a combination of procedures, clinic, and on-call duties.


Job Highlights:

  • Patients per Shift: 12-16


Assignment Includes:



  • Allowed Holidays Off: New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas

  • Week Structure: 4 days of procedures and 1 day of clinic with simultaneous call responsibilities

  • Hospital Support: Anesthesia availability, with plans to add another CRNA


Credentialing and Requirements:



  • License Requirement: California License Required

  • Certifications: BLS Required

  • Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days

  • Temporary Privileges: Not Available

  • Hospital Stroke Certification: Yes

  • Admissions Required: No
