We are actively searching for a skilled and dedicated physician to join our team and provide coverage for a long-term vacancy until a permanent replacement is found. What You'll Do:
- Respond to call needs and provide timely consultations and management plans for inpatients with a variety of gastrointestinal complications.
- Conduct bedside procedures, such as paracentesis or thoracentesis, as needed for inpatients.
- Collaborate with referring physicians, surgeons, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care for patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions.
- Participate in hospital-wide initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance patient care within the gastroenterology department.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in gastroenterology and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities (time permitting).
Who You Are:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a current and active license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania (only).
- Board-certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) (required). Fellowship in Gastroenterology preferred.
- Current ACLS certification (required).
- BLS certification (required).
- A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in both inpatient and consultative settings.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- The ability to manage a fast-paced call environment while maintaining a high level of clinical judgment and decision-making.
