  • Key Responsibilities:



    • Respond promptly to on-call situations, providing timely consultations and interventions for adult patients with facial trauma and other surgical needs.

    • Perform a variety of plastic surgery procedures, including facial laceration repairs, scar revisions, skin grafts, flaps, facial reconstruction for facial fractures, and all trauma-related oral surgery cases.

    • Collaborate effectively with the on-call team, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care during on-call periods.

    • Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the facility's electronic medical records system.




  • Qualifications for Success:



    • Current board certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is mandatory.

    • Valid and active medical license in the state of Michigan (or willingness to obtain one) is required.

    • Experience performing a variety of plastic surgery procedures, including facial laceration repairs, scar revisions, skin grafts, flaps, facial reconstruction for facial fractures, and all trauma-related oral surgery cases is essential.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and staff.

    • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment is crucial.

    • Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions in fast-paced, acute care situations.
