Gynecologic Surgeon Opportunity Near ROCKAWAY PARK, NY


The Ideal Candidate:



  • Experience: A minimum of two to four years of gynecologic surgery experience.

  • Diagnostic Skills: Ability to diagnose and treat a wide variety of gynecologic conditions and improve patient outcomes, including endometriosis, leiomyomas, and adnexal masses.

  • Surgical Expertise: Must be able to prevent, recognize, and manage potential surgical complications derived from gynecologic surgeries.

  • Competency: Demonstrate competency in diagnosis and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and safety are maintained.

  • Patient-Centered Approach: Exhibit a patient-centered approach toward a positive patient experience.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.

  • Interest in Population Health Management: Display an interest in population health management.


Essential Procedures and Responsibilities:



  • Comprehensive Patient Evaluation:

    • Collect and record patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results. Maintain complete and accurate medical records.

    • Review patients history and perform a physical examination.

    • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of gynecologic conditions. Provide preventive care.



  • Surgical Procedures:

    • Perform hysterectomies and myomectomies for benign conditions, open and minimally invasive.

    • Diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy.

    • Diagnostic and operative laparoscopy.

    • Diagnostic cystoscopy.

    • Endometrial ablation.

    • In-office procedures (including but not limited to LEEP, colposcopy, hysteroscopy/endometrial biopsy, vulvar biopsy, pessary care).



  • Effective Communication:

    • Communicate effectively and cordially with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care.

    • Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.




Education & Experience:



  • Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or foreign equivalent.

  • Residency: Completion of four-year postgraduate medical training from an accredited residency program in the area of practice. Must have training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

  • Certification: Board Eligible/Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Fellow American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). Robotic certification strongly preferred.

  • Experience: Open to both experienced and newly trained providers.

  • License: Must possess a current, unrestricted New York State license.

  • Registration: Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.

  • Enrollment: Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.

  • Certification: BLS or ACLS certification required but both strongly preferred.

  • Communication Skills: Must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Technology Comfort: Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (EPIC preferred) and Microsoft Office.


Medical Office Hours of Operation:



  • Monday-Wednesday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM

  • Thursday: 8:00 AM 8:00 PM

  • Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
