Seeking a Dedicated and Experienced Hospitalist for Locum Tenens Role

We're searching for a skilled and dedicated Hospitalist physician to join our team in a growing community near Belmont, NH. This temporary opportunity offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and extends for up to three months, with the potential to extend further.


Responsibilities:



  • Deliver comprehensive inpatient care to a panel of adult patients, managing a caseload of 16-20 patients per day.

  • Conduct thorough patient histories, perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide ongoing medical care throughout a patient's hospitalization.

  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Participate in hospital operations and contribute to medical education initiatives, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Meditech electronic medical record system.


Qualifications:



  • Active and unrestricted New Hampshire (NH) medical license.

  • Board-certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (ABFM) is mandatory.

  • Experience in a hospital setting managing adult medical patients is preferred.

  • Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and strong clinical foundation in hospital medicine.

  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment.

  • Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends.


Schedule:



  • The typical schedule consists of 12-hour shifts with a 7-on/7-off block structure. You will rotate call and be expected to work 7 consecutive shifts, ideally for two weeks per month.
