Job Highlights:




  • Patient Census: Manage an average daily census of 20 patients, including Open ICU responsibilities where you'll be overseeing 6 patients daily. This provides a challenging yet rewarding experience for those wanting to make a difference in critical care settings.




  • Admissions: Handle 3-7 admissions per day, showcasing your ability to manage a diverse caseload and contribute to the efficiency of our hospital's operations.




  • Shift Structure: Work 24-hour shifts with a unique combination of 12 hours onsite and 12 hours of backup coverage for the APC Nocturnist. This structure provides flexibility and a work-life balance crucial for both personal well-being and optimal patient care.




  • APC Coverage: Benefit from 24 hours of APC coverage, split into two twelve-hour shifts. This collaborative approach ensures comprehensive coverage and enhances the quality of care delivered to our patients.




  • Marion Rounding: Engage in Marion rounding, involving an average of 3 new patients per day. This allows you to actively participate in ongoing patient care and contribute to a proactive healthcare strategy.




  • EMR System: Utilize EPIC, our state-of-the-art electronic medical records system. This technology streamlines administrative tasks, allowing you to focus more on patient care and less on paperwork.




  • Specialty Services: Collaborate seamlessly with various specialty services including Cardiology (MTWF), General Surgery, GI (TW), and Neurology. This interdisciplinary approach ensures comprehensive and well-rounded healthcare for our community.




Requirements:



  • Medical Degree: MD or DO with Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

    • 1-2 years of experience preferred, demonstrating a collaborative approach with APCs in the hospital medicine setting.
