200-bed hospital, 21-ICU beds, closed ICU
Shift times are 7a-7p, 7p-7a
7 day providers on and 1 at night
Average day census is 80-100, average admits is 2-3/doc per day
Day: Admission Pager holder - AM/PM admission teams
Night: ICU coverage, central lines, intubations, codes
Swing:
APP: Admission, follow up care and management, discharge, rapid response
Hospitalist are RRT and runs codes with assistance of intensivists, nocturnist with help of ED physician
3-6 months credentialing, dependent of SC licensing
