Hospitalist Medicine Physician (Locum Tenens) - Texas Hill Country (ASAP - Ongoing)

About the Opportunity


We are actively seeking highly motivated Hospitalist Medicine Physicians to join our team on a locum tenens basis. You'll play a vital role in delivering comprehensive care to hospitalized patients, working alongside a team of dedicated nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals. This locum tenens need is significant, equivalent to filling 2 full-time-equivalent (FTE) positions.


What You'll Do



  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

  • Perform necessary procedures.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.

  • Manage patient medications effectively.

  • Document medical records accurately and comprehensively.

  • Communicate clearly and collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.


Who You Are



  • Board certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (FM).

  • Active Texas medical license and DEA registration are mandatory.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Hospital Medicine is preferred.

  • You possess strong clinical skills and experience managing a diverse range of medical conditions.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are essential.

  • You demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.


Schedule



  • Locum tenens position (ASAP - Ongoing)

  • 12-hour shifts with rotating call

  • Willingness to work 7 consecutive shifts, preferably for 2 weeks per month

  • Flexible schedule to accommodate days, nights, and weekends
