Board Certified & Georgia License - Required
Does not have a Ped floor so there are no children to see to speak of unless a child shows up to the ED and the ED consults our Ped hospitalist for medical mgmt. but if a child needs to be admitted, they get transferred so it's essentially all newborns.
7 on, 7 off, 8 hour day shift starting around 7 am with nightly call responsibility.
Average 1-2 calls/night and average going back in at night to manage a patient 1 x/week
Covering a NICU at a 56 bed hospital, closed ICU, OB/GYN runs codes.
Assist in deliveries, rounding on Newborns, C-Sections , circumcises on newborns, consults w/new Parents
