Position: Pediatric Hospitalist Location: Winton, North Carolina MPLT Healthcare is looking for physicians who Understand the Urgency, Never Give Up, and Have the Courage to Excel in the forever changing medical industry! We have numerous opportunities for an experienced Pediatric Hospitalist with highly competitive pay rates in Winton, North Carolina. Position Details:
Physician required to come in and round, etc, then on call. Not required to stay in the hospital. Need as soon as we get credentialed; credentialing takes 6-8 weeks. Must come in the day before for orientation.
Sunday-Sunday 7AM-7AM
On call when arrive to when they leave
24 Hour Call
Inpatient Only
Not required to remain on site during call, but must be able to respond within 30 minutes
Average Total Inpatient Census: 2
Average # of patients/day/provider: 2
Average # of admissions/day: 1
Average # of admissions/night: 2
350 Deliveries yearly
Avg Peds census is less than 1 per day
NRP and PALS/APLS required
No ICU/Critical Care Duties
LT Responds to Codes
LT expected to serve as back up in the ER
10% of visits become admissions
10 bed OB/GYN/Antepartum/Postpartum beds
3 Peds beds, 6 L&D beds, 13 Normal NB Cribs & 2 Level II NB beds
Coverage of New born nursery, required to attend routine and scheduled C-sections, & deliveries
Procedures required: umbilical lines, intubate, lumbar puncture, I&D
EMR = EPIC (HealthSpan)
REQUIREMENTS:
NC licensed & DEA
Will accept BC only physicians
Must be PALS and NRP certified
