We are actively seeking two experienced Internal Medicine Hospitalists for full-time locum tenens positions near Southeastern PA. This opportunity offers the chance to provide comprehensive inpatient care in a dynamic environment with a supportive medical team. Position Overview:



  • Specialty: Hospitalist - Internal Medicine

Key Responsibilities:



  • Inpatient Care:

    • Provide comprehensive hospitalist services, including admissions, history and physicals (H&P), routine rounds, discharge planning, and management of inpatient care.

    • Collaborate with the Emergency Department to manage unassigned patients and provide primary care coverage as needed.

    • Offer consultation services for subspecialties, pre/post-operative management, and ICU/observation coverage with intensivist support.



  • Clinical Decision Making:

    • Make timely and effective clinical decisions, write routine orders, and ensure accurate and prompt documentation, including dictations.

    • Maintain excellent communication with patients, their families, nursing staff, and other physicians to ensure cohesive care delivery.



  • Teaching Opportunities:

    • Participate in teaching and attending services for physicians interested in academic medicine and mentorship, helping to train the next generation of healthcare providers.




Practice Details:



  • Shift Hours: Variable 8-12 hour shifts with a 7 days on/7 days off schedule, providing work-life balance and continuity of care.

  • Support and Collaboration:

    • Work in an open ICU environment with full support from intensivists and access to all medical subspecialties, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

    • No procedures are required, allowing you to focus on the management of inpatient care.



  • Certifications Required:

    • Candidates must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

    • Newly trained candidates must achieve Board Certification within three years of completing residency.



  • Technology and Tools:

    • Utilize Meditech EHR for all documentation, ensuring a streamlined and efficient workflow.
