Hospitalist Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Locum Tenens) - Near Summitville, TN (ASAP - Ongoing)

About the Opportunity
We are actively seeking a highly motivated Hospitalist Medicine APP to join our team on a locum tenens basis. You will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and delivering comprehensive care to hospitalized patients at our facility. This is a critical locum tenens need, requiring the support of 2 additional APPs to manage the anticipated patient volume.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments under the supervision of a physician.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
- Prescribe medications and manage patient care plans effectively.
- Provide patient education and counseling.
- Document medical records accurately and comprehensively.
- Communicate clearly and collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Participate in rounds and discussions, contributing valuable clinical expertise to patient care decisions.
Who You Are
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) is required.
- Current Tennessee licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Hospital Medicine or a related specialty is preferred.
- You possess strong clinical skills and experience managing a diverse range of medical conditions in a hospital setting.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are essential for effective teamwork and patient interaction.
- You demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team, adapting to a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for making a positive impact on patient outcomes are highly valued.
