We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospitalist to join our team in a locum tenens capacity near Trout Creek, MI. This role is critical to providing comprehensive inpatient care in a busy hospital setting. Job Requirements:
- Board Certification: Must be board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Licensing: Must hold an active medical license in Michigan
- Certifications Required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- EMR System: MediTech
- Hospital Privileges: Not required
- Temporary Privileges: Available
- Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days
Work Schedule and Responsibilities:
Shifts:
- Day shifts are from 7 am to 7 pm with on-site coverage.
- Night shifts are from 7 pm to 7 am, on-call with potential call-back for admissions.
- Specific coverage is required on public holidays, including New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Patient Load:
- The Hospitalist will manage an average of 15 patients per shift.
- The facility has 23 beds dedicated to the department.
- Rounding on both assigned and unassigned patients is required.
Additional Information:
Support and Environment:
- The hospital is certified as a stroke center, ensuring a high standard of care for patients with neurological conditions.
- The Hospitalist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to provide comprehensive care.
Experience with MediTech EMR:
- Familiarity with the MediTech EMR system is preferred to ensure smooth integration and efficient workflow.
Holidays and Special Considerations:
- The role requires coverage during specific holidays, ensuring that patient care is continuous and uninterrupted.
