Locum Tenens Job Opportunity: General Medicine Physician (Near Atlantic City, NJ)


We are currently seeking a General Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position near Atlantic City, NJ. This opportunity involves conducting Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans on a PRN basis, allowing for a flexible schedule.


This role is ideal for providers with backgrounds in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or those experienced in general medicine. Prior experience with compensation and pension evaluations is preferred, but not required.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Perform interview-based exams with limited physical assessments, such as:

    • Range of motion testing

    • Muscle strength testing

    • METs testing for evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions



  • Complete one-time, non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments

  • No prescription or treatment responsibilities

  • Quick credentialing and onboarding process to get you started ASAP

  • Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions is essential

  • Proficiency with a goniometer for physical assessments is required

  • Personal laptop needed (no Macbooks)


Work Options:



  • Travel to perform exams at designated locations or schedule Veterans within your own practice

  • Option to work half-days (4 hours) or full-days (8 hours) depending on your availability


Additional Information:



  • Weekend availability if desired

  • DMA certification is available (with CME credits). Certification will need to be obtained once privileged if not already certified. Note: the client does not reimburse for DMA certification or related training

  • Training provided for completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)


Requirements:



  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in a relevant specialty

  • Licensed to practice in the state of New Jersey

  • Proficient in METs testing and familiar with respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
