We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Physician for a locum tenens assignment in eastern Washington. This temporary role will offer comprehensive inpatient care with a mix of in-house and on-call hours in a facility located near Eltopia, WA.


Position Details:



  • Location: Near Eltopia, Washington

  • Position Type: Locum Tenens, temporary coverage

  • Start Date: December 24, 2024

  • End Date: January 1, 2025

  • Shift Details:

    • 24-hour shifts

    • 8 hours in-house, followed by 16 hours on call

    • Orientation day required



  • Setting: Inpatient ICU with 14 beds

  • Holidays Covered: Christmas Day and New Years Day

  • Patient Care Requirements:

    • Rounding duties included

    • Admissions and phone consultations as needed

    • Response time required for on-call hours




Clinical Skills and Certifications Needed:



  • Core Specialty: Internal Medicine with a Critical Care focus

  • Certifications Required: WA State Medical License, ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Ventilation Management (Invasive and Non-invasive)

    • Chest tube insertion

    • Central and arterial line placements

    • Diagnostic procedures such as lumbar puncture, thoracentesis, paracentesis

    • ICP evaluation and management

    • Dialysis catheter placement
