Locum Tenens Opportunity: General Medicine Physician Near Kingman, AZ


We are seeking a General Medicine Physician to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans near Kingman, AZ. This locum tenens position offers the flexibility of a PRN basis, with ongoing opportunities for coverage. If you have experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or a general medicine background, this role allows you to serve our nation's veterans in a non-treatment capacity.


Position Overview:



  • Position Type: Locum Tenens, PRN basis

  • Specialty: General Medicine

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • End Date: Ongoing

  • Shift Type: Days

  • Weekend Availability: Optional, if desired or needed


Responsibilities:




  • Conduct One-Time, Non-Treatment C&P Exams:



    • Perform interview-based assessments with limited physical examinations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.

    • No prescribing or ongoing treatment required.




  • Two Coverage Options:



    • Option 1: Travel to a designated leased facility to perform exams.

    • Option 2: Schedule veterans for exams within your own practice.




  • Flexible Scheduling:



    • Option to work half-days (4-hour shifts) or full-days (8-hour shifts), based on your availability.




Qualifications:




  • Board Certified Physician in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Orthopedic Surgery, or experience in general medicine or compensation and pension exams.




  • Proficiency in:



    • Use of a goniometer for physical assessments.

    • Managing musculoskeletal conditions, diabetes, and cardiovascular health.

    • METs testing and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.




  • Certification Requirements:



    • Active and unrestricted medical license in Arizona.

    • Willingness to complete DMA certification (CME credits available). Certification costs and training are not reimbursed.
