Locum Tenens Opportunity: General Medicine Physician Near Mc Quady, KY
We are seeking experienced General Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens position near Mc Quady, KY. This role is on a PRN (as-needed) basis, starting ASAP and continuing on an ongoing basis. Key Responsibilities:
C&P Exams:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans.
- Perform evaluations primarily through interviews with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing or treatment is required, allowing you to focus solely on conducting thorough and accurate assessments.
Specialization Requirements:
- Open to physicians with backgrounds in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or general medicine.
- Familiarity with musculoskeletal conditions, diabetes, and cardiovascular issues is essential.
- Proficiency in METs testing, as well as the evaluation and diagnosis of respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions, is required.
Coverage Options:
- Flexible Work Environment:
- Two options for coverage are available: Travel to perform exams at a designated facility or schedule Veterans within your own practice.
- Flexibility to work half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) based on your availability and preferences.
Support & Training:
- Training Provided: Comprehensive training will be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).
- Documentation:
- Reporting/DBQs must be completed and submitted within 48 hours of exam completion.
- No narrative report required; the final deliverable is the completion of standardized forms.
- Ongoing administrative tasks, including addendums, medical opinions, and diagnostic readings, will be required.
Equipment & Technology:
- Laptop Requirement: Providers must use their own personal laptop (NO MACs).
- Quick Credentialing: Expedited credentialing and onboarding are available to ensure a swift start.
Qualifications:
- Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- State License: Must hold an active medical license in Kentucky.
