Locum Tenens Opportunity: General Medicine Physician Near Mc Quady, KY


We are seeking experienced General Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens position near Mc Quady, KY. This role is on a PRN (as-needed) basis, starting ASAP and continuing on an ongoing basis. Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:




  • C&P Exams:



    • Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans.

    • Perform evaluations primarily through interviews with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.

    • No prescribing or treatment is required, allowing you to focus solely on conducting thorough and accurate assessments.




  • Specialization Requirements:



    • Open to physicians with backgrounds in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or general medicine.

    • Familiarity with musculoskeletal conditions, diabetes, and cardiovascular issues is essential.

    • Proficiency in METs testing, as well as the evaluation and diagnosis of respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions, is required.




Coverage Options:



  • Flexible Work Environment:

    • Two options for coverage are available: Travel to perform exams at a designated facility or schedule Veterans within your own practice.

    • Flexibility to work half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) based on your availability and preferences.




Support & Training:



  • Training Provided: Comprehensive training will be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).

  • Documentation:

    • Reporting/DBQs must be completed and submitted within 48 hours of exam completion.

    • No narrative report required; the final deliverable is the completion of standardized forms.

    • Ongoing administrative tasks, including addendums, medical opinions, and diagnostic readings, will be required.




Equipment & Technology:



  • Laptop Requirement: Providers must use their own personal laptop (NO MACs).

  • Quick Credentialing: Expedited credentialing and onboarding are available to ensure a swift start.


Qualifications:



  • Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible.

  • State License: Must hold an active medical license in Kentucky.
