Locum Tenens Cardiovascular NP/PA Opportunity Near Eugene, OR
We are seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a Locum Tenens position near Eugene, OR. This role offers the chance to join a collaborative and growing cardiology service line, serving a vibrant community with over 320,000 residents.
Position Details:
- Specialty: Cardiovascular NP/PA
- Location: Near Eugene, OR
- Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing
- Rate Type: Hourly
- Shift Type: Days
- Shift Description:
- Four 10-hour days per week
- Clinic hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
- Cath lab hours: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
- No weekends or call required
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide care in both outpatient clinic and cath lab settings.
- Manage cardiology patients under the direction of the Cardiovascular Service Director.
- Perform patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with the cardiology team.
- Conduct patient assessments in the clinic with 15-18 patients per day.
- Assist in the cath lab with 6-8 patients per day.
- Participate in outreach services to nearby critical access hospitals as needed.
- Rotate between hospital and clinic settings, with one week in each.
Requirements:
- Certification:
- Board Certified NP or PA in Cardiovascular or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient cardiology experience (excluding RN or training experience).
- State License: Active Oregon medical license.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Effective critical thinking and judgment skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under stress.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility and independence with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with EPIC EMR.
- Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and stretching frequently.
- Adequate hearing, visual acuity, and fine motor skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and assist patients with mobility.
- Maintain confidentiality and exhibit professional behavior.
