Locum Tenens Cardiovascular NP/PA Opportunity Near Eugene, OR


We are seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a Locum Tenens position near Eugene, OR. This role offers the chance to join a collaborative and growing cardiology service line, serving a vibrant community with over 320,000 residents.


Position Details:



  • Specialty: Cardiovascular NP/PA

  • Location: Near Eugene, OR

  • Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing

  • Rate Type: Hourly

  • Shift Type: Days

  • Shift Description:

    • Four 10-hour days per week

    • Clinic hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

    • Cath lab hours: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

    • No weekends or call required




Job Responsibilities:



  • Provide care in both outpatient clinic and cath lab settings.

  • Manage cardiology patients under the direction of the Cardiovascular Service Director.

  • Perform patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with the cardiology team.

  • Conduct patient assessments in the clinic with 15-18 patients per day.

  • Assist in the cath lab with 6-8 patients per day.

  • Participate in outreach services to nearby critical access hospitals as needed.

  • Rotate between hospital and clinic settings, with one week in each.


Requirements:



  • Certification:

    • Board Certified NP or PA in Cardiovascular or related field.



  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years of inpatient cardiology experience (excluding RN or training experience).



  • State License: Active Oregon medical license.

  • Skills and Abilities:

    • Effective critical thinking and judgment skills.

    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under stress.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    • Flexibility and independence with minimal supervision.

    • Basic computer skills and familiarity with EPIC EMR.



  • Physical/Mental Requirements:

    • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and stretching frequently.

    • Adequate hearing, visual acuity, and fine motor skills.

    • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and assist patients with mobility.

    • Maintain confidentiality and exhibit professional behavior.
