We are actively seeking a Board Certified Interventional Cardiology Physician for a locum tenens assignment near Kyle, TX. This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled cardiologist to provide critical care in an inpatient setting. The position involves call coverage and is ideal for those looking for short-term assignments with the potential for ongoing work.


Position Overview:

Work Details:



  • Practice Setting: Inpatient

  • Call Coverage:

    • On-call responsibilities for critical interventional cardiology cases

    • 24/7 availability during the coverage period



  • Patient Load: Approximately 15 patients per shift

  • Hospital Details:

    • Stroke-certified hospital with over 200 beds

    • Assigned patient rounding



  • EMR System: Cerner


Requirements:



  • Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology

  • State License: Active Texas medical license required

  • Certifications: ACLS certification required

  • Experience: Proven experience in an inpatient interventional cardiology setting preferred

  • Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days

  • Temporary Privileges: Available for qualified candidates

  • Hospital Privileges: No separate hospital or surgery center privileges required

  • Holidays: Coverage may include major holidays such as New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

  • Onboarding: Comprehensive orientation provided, with full support from the medical team to ensure a smooth transition into the role
