Locum Tenens Opportunity for a Physician Specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine


Location: Near Cheyenne, WY
Dates: ASAP - Ongoing


We are seeking board-certified physicians to perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams. This opportunity is ideal for those looking to provide essential healthcare services to veterans while working on a PRN basis.


As a physician working in this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting veterans by conducting non-treatment exams in a structured and rewarding environment. You'll have the flexibility to choose between two coverage options: traveling to perform exams at leased facilities or scheduling exams within your own practice.


Job Details:



  • Schedule: PRN basis with flexible shifts, either half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours).

  • Exam Types:

    • Non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams

    • Separation health assessments



  • Exams include:

    • Primarily interview-based assessments

    • Some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing

    • Evaluation of traumatic brain injuries



  • No treatment or prescribing required.


Certification and Requirements:



  • Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties:

    • Neurology

    • Neurosurgery

    • Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)



  • State license required in Wyoming.


Additional Qualifications:



  • Proficient in using a goniometer.

  • Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions is essential.

  • Skilled in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.

  • Must own a personal laptop (no MACs).
