Are you a skilled and compassionate physician seeking a flexible opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the field of general medicine and traumatic brain injury? We are currently seeking providers to perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams near Loranger LA.


Details:



  • This position offers flexibility on a PRN basis, with ongoing needs for coverage.

  • Candidates must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R.

  • Exams primarily involve interviews with patients, supplemented by physical assessments such as range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, and evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will encompass a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.

  • No prescribing or treatment is involved in these exams.

  • DMA certification is available, allowing providers to obtain CME credits. However, this certification will need to be obtained once privileged if not already certified.

  • The use of a Goniometer is required for accurate assessments.

  • Proficiency in evaluating musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions is required, along with METs testing and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.

  • Candidates must have their own personal laptop (NO Apple Laptops/MACs) for documentation purposes.

  • Training will be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs), with completed forms to be submitted within 48 hours post-exam. The end product is the completion of standardized form(s).

  • Evaluations will be completed in VES's provider portal, with records reviewed.

  • We are currently seeking 3 providers to fulfill this role.


Submission Requirements:



  • Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.

  • Must be willing to perform General Medicine & Traumatic Brain Injury exams.

  • Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).

  • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible within 0-3 years of residency.

  • Active and unrestricted full license.

  • Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.

  • CV needs current home address listed for presentation.

  • Will need a copy of ECFMG certificate if attended school in a different country.
