Locum Tenens Opportunity for a Physician Specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine


Location: Near Omaha, NE
Dates: ASAP - Ongoing


We are currently seeking board-certified physicians with expertise in General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury to join our team on a PRN basis. This opportunity provides a rewarding chance to contribute to the care of our nation's veterans, with flexible scheduling options and the ability to work either in a leased facility or within your own practice.


Job Details:



  • Position: Physician specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury and General Medicine

  • Schedule: Flexible PRN basis; options for half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours)

  • Exam Types:

    • Non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams

    • Separation health assessments



  • Exam Focus:

    • Primarily interview-based assessments

    • Includes physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing

    • Evaluation of traumatic brain injuries

    • Mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams



  • Treatment: No prescribing or treatment required

  • Credentialing: Quick credentialing and onboarding

  • Certification: DMA certification available, can earn CME credits; certification required once privileged, not reimbursed by the client


Qualifications:



  • Board Certification in one of the following specialties:

    • Neurology

    • Neurosurgery

    • Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)



  • State License: Nebraska

  • Skills:

    • Proficient in using a goniometer

    • Familiar with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions

    • Skilled in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions



  • Technology: Must have a personal laptop (no MACs)
