We have a fantastic locum tenens opportunity for an experienced Neurologist in the scenic area near Warnerville, New York. This position offers a rewarding way to serve patients in a community-centered outpatient clinic setting, focused on providing specialized neurological care.
Position Overview
- Role: Locum Tenens Neurologist
- Location: Near Warnerville, NY
- Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic with a focus on ALS patient care
- Start Date: January 1, 2025
- Duration: Ongoing locum coverage
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime shifts (8-hour days)
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Volume: Average of 6-7 patients per day
- Population: 100% adult, outpatient cases
- Support: Independent role with a focus on ALS patients; no additional neurologists on staff
- Documentation: Utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system
Requirements
- Licensure: Valid and current New York State medical license
- Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology; Palliative Care, Hospice, Physiatry, or Internal Medicine with relevant ALS experience also considered
- Life Support Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Experience: Prior experience with ALS or other neurological disorders strongly preferred
Compensation and Benefits
- Rate Type: Hourly rate; submit your best rate upon application
- Reimbursements:
- Travel: Hotel and rental car expenses covered
- Credentialing: Note that any fees associated with applications or credentialing are not reimbursed by the facility
