Seeking a Pathology practiced NP/PA full time
Schedule: November 14th, 2022 -January 27th, 2023
Gross examination, dissection and preparation of surgical pathology cases for the pathologist to perform microscopic evaluation. Procedures, and sections of each case as defined by the Surgical Pathology Grossing Manual.
Ensure that tests are prepared properly at all stages from specimen collection through results reporting, and performs additional special handling of the specimens if necessary or requested ( radiography, photography, special fixation, cultures and tissue procurement).
Competent at operating the Laboratory Information System and Medical Archival Retrieval System relative to the functions of the pathology team.
Perform duties in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Pathology Department and Hospital including compliance and confidentiality.
Adhere to all safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Comply with standard precaution procedures.
Credentialing: 4-8 WEEKS
EMR: Meditech/Athena
Reason for coverage: Ongoing
Requirements: BLS
