A rewarding locum tenens position is open for an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) specializing in Cardiology in the scenic region near Rockport, Washington. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced provider ready to step into a balanced mix of clinic and on-call work.


Position Overview:



  • Location: Near Rockport, WA

  • Position Type: Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) - Cardiology Specialist

  • Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours combined with on-call duties

  • Practice Setting: Primarily inpatient cardiology care

  • Start Date: ASAP, with a commitment through June 2025


Scheduling and Responsibilities:



  • Work Schedule:

    • 4-5 days per week, rotating between clinic and call

    • Typically, 2-3 days of clinic and 2 days on call, or vice versa



  • Patient Load: Approximately 14 patients per shift

  • Support Staff: Access to a dedicated support team of PAs/NPs and clinical staff

  • Call Requirements:

    • Beeper-based call with a 20-minute response time

    • Call covers a range of patient consults and potential callbacks




Key Qualifications:



  • Licensure: Must be licensed in Washington State or possess an IMLC compact license

  • Certifications:

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required

    • Board certification required for all applicants



  • Experience: Previous experience in cardiology essential


Additional Details:



  • Electronic Medical Records: EMR system in use is Epic

  • Credentialing Timeline: Estimated 30-60 days

  • Facility Designations: Stroke-certified facility, Level 2 Trauma Center
