We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locums Nurse Practitioner specializing in Family Practice to join our team near Ilwaco, WA. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide comprehensive healthcare services to a diverse patient population. The position is available ASAP and is ongoing, with an initial contract length of 3 months and the possibility of extension.


Job Details



  • Specialty: Family Practice

  • Start Date: As soon as credentialed

  • Contract Length: 3 months, possibility to extend

  • Shift Details: 8a-5p, 40hrs/week. 8-hour work day with 1-hour unpaid lunch. Saturday hours optional for OT rate.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday


Work Details



  • Support Staff: Dedicated medical assistant for each provider, receptionist, mental health therapists, dietitians. Most clinics have an onsite pediatrician and local healthcare administrator.

  • Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: FT, 40hrs/week

  • Patients per day: Up to 18 patients, may vary depending on cancellations, etc., but should be comfortable with higher volume and fast-paced environment.

  • Patient Population/Age: Newborns to Geriatrics. Provider should be comfortable working with all ages.

  • Department Description: Providers should have experience or express interest in working with vulnerable populations, including migrants and refugees. Interpretative services available on site. Provider is not required to be bilingual, but it would be a plus. Services include outpatient ambulatory, family medicine, walk-in/acute care, and chronic disease management. Providers may care for same-day walk-in patients.

  • EMR: EPIC

  • Special Procedures: Basic bread and butter procedures such as injections, IUD placement, minor wound care.

  • Skills Required: Expected to hit the ground running. There will be a 1-week ramp-up with onsite orientation, but the provider will be expected to begin patient care by day 3.

Requirements



  • Board Certification: Required

  • License: Active WA license required. Will not consider non-licensed candidates.

  • DEA: Active WA DEA required

  • Certifications: Will be discussed at time of credentialing. If any certifications are required, the provider will be responsible for obtaining them (, BLS, ACLS).

  • Minimum Experience: MUST have a clean background. No malpractice will be considered. MUST have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an FNP with face-to-face patient contact within the past year.


Credentialing Timeframe: 2-3 weeks
