Seeking a Qualified and Compassionate Family Practice Provider for Locum Tenens Role


Are you a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Family Practice seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a beautiful California community? This temporary position offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and extends until the permanent position is filled.


Responsibilities:



  • Deliver comprehensive primary care services to a diverse panel of adult and pediatric patients, including some chronic pain management.

  • Conduct thorough patient histories, perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide preventive care services such as immunizations and health screenings.

  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Epic electronic medical record system, ensuring chart closure within 72 hours.


Qualifications:



  • Active and unrestricted California (CA) license as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

  • Board-certified in Family Practice or a related specialty is preferred. We will also consider board-eligible (BE) providers within five years of residency completion.

  • DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) licensure is also welcome.

  • Experience in an outpatient primary care setting is preferred.

  • Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and strong clinical foundation in family practice medicine.

  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families of all ages.

Schedule:
