Make a Difference During Busy Periods: Locum Tenens Hospitalist Needed (ASAP - Ongoing)


Are you a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) seeking a locum tenens opportunity to contribute your skills to a supportive healthcare setting near Altus, Oklahoma? We are actively searching for two qualified NPs to join our team and provide vital care to inpatients during a temporary staffing need. This locum tenens position offers a flexible schedule with a 7-on, 7-off rotation and 12-hour shifts, allowing you to make a significant impact while tailoring your work experience.


Provide Inpatient Care During a Transitional Period:



  • Temporary Staffing Need: Bridge a staffing gap from August 1st, 2024 to September 30th, 2024, ensuring continuity of care for hospitalized patients.

  • Supportive Environment: Integrate seamlessly into a collaborative team environment, providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population.


Streamlined Workflow and Efficient Operations:



  • Manageable Patient Load: Manage a patient load of approximately 10-12 patients per shift, allowing for personalized attention.

  • Streamlined Documentation: Utilize the familiar Meditech electronic medical record system for efficient documentation.

  • Specialized Support: Benefit from access to on-call CRNAs (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists) for intubation procedures, a PICC team for central line placements, and a tele-pulmonary service offering 24/7 virtual consultations.

  • Collaboration with Emergency Department: Work collaboratively with the emergency department, providing support for code situations when on-site.


Qualifications and Requirements:



  • Oklahoma Licensure: Must hold a current Oklahoma license to practice.

  • Board Certification: Be an NP certified in a relevant field.

  • Essential Certifications: Maintain current certifications in ACLS and BLS.

  • Admissions Experience: Have experience performing patient admissions.

  • Temporary Privileges: Be eligible for temporary hospital privileges, which can be facilitated by the facility.
