Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for a temporary, night-shift hospital medicine role in southern Texas. Role and Responsibilities
As an APP in this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive hospital medicine services during overnight shifts. Youll work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include:



  • Conducting patient assessments, diagnoses, and managing patient care for hospitalized individuals

  • Providing emergency care as needed within hospital-based protocols and standards

  • Coordinating with attending physicians to ensure optimal care transitions and patient outcomes

  • Documenting patient information accurately and efficiently within the hospitals electronic medical record (EMR) system

  • Handling emergent patient situations with professionalism and adherence to safety standards


Ideal Candidate Profile



  • Experience: Previous hospital medicine or critical care experience preferred

  • Qualifications: Active APP licensure and certification, with the ability to obtain temporary privileges swiftly

  • Adaptability: Able to function effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, especially during overnight shifts

  • Commitment: Available to start by December 2, 2024, and able to commit to a 3-month assignment
