Locum Tenens Opportunity: General Medicine NP Near Frederic, MI
We are actively seeking dedicated General Medicine Nurse Practitioners (NPs) for a locum tenens role near Frederic, MI. Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
Coverage Options:
- Travel to perform exams at a leased facility or schedule Veterans within your own practice.
- Flexibility to work either days (4-hours) or full days (8-hours).
Exams and Assessments:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments.
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessments such as range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing or treatment required.
Administrative Details:
- Quick credentialing and onboarding process.
- DMA certification is available (can earn CME credits) and must be obtained once privileged if not already certified.
- Use of Goniometer required.
- Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions is essential.
- Proficiency in METs testing, and evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Must have a personal laptop (no Macs).
Reporting Requirements:
- Training will be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).
- Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion; no narrative report required. End product is the completion of standardized forms.
- Evaluations to be completed in the provider portal.
- Record review is required in most cases.
- Regular follow-up administrative work including addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics.
Certification and Licensing:
- Certification Requirements: AANP Certification
- State License Requirements: Active Michigan License
