Locum Tenens Opportunity: General Medicine Nurse Practitioner Near Mc Quady, KY
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate General Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a locum tenens opportunity near Mc Quady, KY. This position offers a unique and flexible opportunity for NPs to perform Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams, as well as Separation Health Assessments for veterans. This role is ideal for NPs with a background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine who are looking for a non-treatment focused role.
Position Overview:

- Option for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Primary Duties:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments.
- Exams are primarily interview-based, with some physical assessments including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing or treatment is required.
- Utilize a goniometer and be proficient in METs testing.
- Evaluate and diagnose musculoskeletal, diabetes, cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological conditions.
- Reporting:
- Complete and submit standardized Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours of exam completion. No narrative report is required.
- Record review is required in most cases.
- Follow-up administrative work may include addendums, medical opinions, and reviewing diagnostics.

- Providers must have their own personal laptop (no Macs) to complete evaluations in the provider portal.
Candidate Requirements:
- Licensure:
- Must hold a current Kentucky state license.
- Certifications:
- AANP certification is required.
- Experience:
- Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience with METs testing, respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological evaluations is essential.
