Seeking Experienced and Qualified Critical Care Providers


Are you a dedicated and highly skilled Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) passionate about providing exceptional care to critically ill patients? We're searching for two qualified advanced practice providers to join our team in a growing community near Orleans, CA. This ongoing locum tenens opportunity offers a predictable schedule with no call requirements, starting as soon as possible (ASAP).


Responsibilities:



  • Deliver comprehensive critical care to a diverse adult patient population in our state-of-the-art intensive care unit (ICU).

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop and implement treatment plans, and manage ventilator support in collaboration with attending physicians.

  • Perform essential critical care procedures, including airway management, central line placement, and hemodynamic monitoring, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

  • Collaborate with nurses, respiratory therapists, other healthcare professionals, and families to deliver coordinated patient care.

  • Participate in daily rounds, discuss treatment strategies, and monitor patient progress.

  • Document medical records accurately and efficiently within the EPIC electronic medical record system.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in critical care medicine and participate in ongoing professional development activities.


Qualifications:



  • Active and unrestricted California (CA) license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is mandatory.

  • Current certification in Acute Care Nurse Practice (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a specialty in critical care is required.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical critical care setting is preferred.

  • Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in critical care medicine.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a high-pressure environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment, making critical decisions under time pressure.
