Key Qualifications:



  • Licensed to practice medicine in Illinois (active license required)

  • Board-certified in neonatal care (NRP certification required)

  • Experience working in a Level II NICU and delivery room setting

  • Proficient in performing essential neonatal procedures, including central & arterial line placements, intubation, umbilical line placement, lumbar punctures, chest tubes, needle aspirations, surfactant administration, therapeutic hypothermia, and respiratory support (ventilation and continuous positive airway pressure - CPAP).

  • Experience attending C-sections and managing both well-baby and critically ill newborns


Schedule and Patient Load:



  • Schedule: 24-hour in-house shifts (on-call during scheduled shift)

  • NICU Level: Level II with well-trained OB nurses for delivery room support
