Locum Tenens Job Opportunity for Nurse Practitioner - Pediatrics

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pediatrics for a locum tenens position near Mineral, Washington. Schedule and Coverage

• Coverage: Scheduled shifts with no on-call requirement


• Shift Description: Day shifts, 8 hours each, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM


• Block Schedules: Not required


• Contract Length: 3 months with the possibility of extension


• Weekly Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with optional Saturday hours for overtime

Work Details

• Practice Setting: Outpatient Clinic


• Average Daily Census: Up to 18 patients


• Patient Age Group: Pediatrics

  • Basic pediatric procedures including well-child visits
  
  
  • Outpatient ambulatory services, family medicine, walk-in/acute care services, and chronic disease management
  
  
  
  


• Support Staff:
  
  
  
  • Dedicated medical assistant for each provider
  
  
  • Onsite receptionist, mental health therapists, dietitians, and often an onsite pediatrician
  
  
  
  


• Patient Population: Includes vulnerable populations such as migrants and refugees; interpretive services available onsite


• Department Description: Community Health Center setting, focusing on serving diverse and underserved communities

Job Requirements

• Board Certifications: Must be Board Certified in Pediatrics


• State Licenses: Must be licensed in Washington

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years required


• Charting Experience: Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred

Additional Information

• Special Procedures: Providers are expected to perform basic pediatric procedures and manage a range of pediatric health issues.


• Skills Required: Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and meeting daily productivity expectations.


• Overtime Policy: Overtime is only approved if the provider exceeds daily productivity expectations. Otherwise, overtime is not permitted, and timesheets may be adjusted accordingly.
