Nurse Practitioner - Behavioral Health Locum Opportunity Near Hartford, CT


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position with our behavioral health team at a location within 50 miles of Hartford, CT. This full-time opportunity offers a flexible schedule, providing a great work-life balance. As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing medical exams, performing physicals, and contributing to the overall well-being of our patients during your assignment.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct comprehensive medical exams and physicals for patients in a 56-bed behavioral health unit.

  • Manage a patient load of 10-12 individuals daily, ensuring quality and timely care.

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care for patients.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to all healthcare regulations and standards.

  • Offer guidance and support to nursing staff, promoting a positive and effective work environment.


Schedule and Benefits:



  • Schedule Type: Flexible, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications:



  • Required: Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in behavioral health.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting is preferred.
