Nurse Practitioner - Behavioral Health Locum Tenens Opportunity Near Hartford, CT


We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position near Hartford, CT. This flexible opportunity requires coverage from ASAP on an ongoing basis. You will be a key player in providing high-quality care in a 56-bed behavioral health unit. This per diem role involves overseeing medical procedures and conducting physicals for a diverse patient population.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Oversee and conduct comprehensive medical exams and physicals for patients in a 56-bed behavioral health unit.

  • Manage a caseload of 10-12 patients per day, ensuring timely and effective care.

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care for patients.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, fostering a positive and effective work environment.


Schedule and Details:



  • Schedule Type: Per diem, with 2-3 shifts per month.

  • Hours: Flexible, Monday through Friday, with typical shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

  • On-Call: No on-call duties, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

  • Location: Near Hartford, CT.

  • Start Date: ASAP.

  • End Date: Ongoing.

  • Competitive compensation.


Qualifications:



  • Required: Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a valid Connecticut license.

  • Experience: Strong background in behavioral health preferred.

  • Skills: Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Telehealth: Not required for this position.
