A dynamic, growing multi-specialty integrated group practice in Western Pennsylvania, is seeking an OB/Gyn physician to join an established, thriving ;This group is a physician driven organization dedicated to providing patients with accessible state-of-the-art medical care in a highly coordinated, efficient and compassionate manner while advancing patient care through research and education. This Physician Group has 115+ physicians representing 26 specialties through a network of hospitals, outpatient settings and 40 offices within a five county region of west central Pennsylvania.


Every year, more than 1,350 babies are born ; Private state-of-the-art labor/delivery/recovery (LDR) rooms and an on-site Level III Regional Intensive Care Nursery help ensure that mothers and babies receive the highest quality care. C-section rate is 25%, Epidural rate is 60%


Our entire staff including physicians, midwives, nurse practitioners, physician assistants are dedicated to provide outstanding care to each and every patient. Our Medical Center is the only hospital in the region with a full-time perinatologist with special training in high-risk or complicated pregnancies who specializes in the management of pregnancy-induced hypertension, premature labor, premature rupture of membranes, maternal diabetes, recurrent pregnancy loss, teratology, prenatal diagnosis (amniocentesis, CVS, targeted ultrasound) and fetal therapy. Several sophisticated tools available to help accurately diagnose a problem, including:


• high-resolution/4-dimensional ultrasound with Doppler  capabilities


• antenatal diagnostic tests, ie., amniocentesis or chronic villus sampling (CVS) to evaluate fetal well-being or identify any potential birth defects



Our comprehensive services include:


• Six private state-of-the-art labor/delivery/recovery (LDR) rooms


that include:


- hydrotherapy to ease labor pain


- enough space to include family members in the birth experience


- capabilities for private doulas


- advanced computer technology to monitor labor and birth


- essential equipment to ensure your baby’s safe arrival


• inpatient management of high-risk OB patients


• fetal monitor interpretations at off-site locations


• preconception counseling


• percutaneous umbilical blood sampling and intrauterine fetal transfusion


• call schedule: 1 in 4 (one weekday/week and one weekend/month)


• AIUM accredited Obstetrics/Gynecology Ultrasound Laboratory.


• Fetal Medicine Foundation accredited first trimester screening site.


• ICAEL Accredited Fetal Echocardiography Laboratory.


• Level III Labor and Delivery Care


Two cesarean section operating suites are just steps away from the LDRs, ensuring quick care if needed. Our experienced OB nursing staff and the area’s only certified lactation consultant are there to ;


More than 5,000 premature and ill newborns from a 12-county area have benefited from the unique services of our Regional Intensive Care Nursery (RICN). Under the direction of full-time Neonatologist, the 16-bed neonatal intensive care unit provides medical, surgical and pulmonary care to premature or ill babies. The RICN team has been providing care to these special infants for nearly 30 years with average admissions of 240 per year.
