We are actively seeking a qualified Orthopaedic Surgery Physician for a locum tenens role located near Asheville, NC. This position is available ASAP and will continue on an ongoing basis to cover a long-term vacancy. Shift Details:



  • Shift Description: The role involves call coverage with specific dates needed for coverage. This includes 24-hour on-call duties, with potential for both daytime and nighttime coverage.

  • Patients Per Shift: Typically 6-8 patients

  • Bed Capacity: 29 beds in the department

  • Rounding: Assigned patients


Schedule:



  • Immediate Coverage Dates: November 22, 23, 24, and November 28, 29, 30

  • Coverage Type: Call only, with availability for rotating weekends as needed.

  • Holidays Covered: Includes major holidays such as 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Christmas Day, and Labor Day.


Requirements:



  • Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. Fellowship training is preferred.

  • State License: An active North Carolina medical license is required.

  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.

  • Background Check: A clean background is essential for quick credentialing, with no history of malpractice.

  • Temporary Privileges: Available if needed.

  • Hospital/Surgery Center Privileges: Not required for this role.

  • Credentialing Timeframe: Expected to take approximately 45-60 days.
