- Role: Locum Tenens Otolaryngologist
- Facility Type: Level 1 trauma center with Level 3 pediatric care
- Start Date: January 1, 2025
- End Date: Ongoing coverage required
- Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call
- Call Details: Beeper call with a 20-minute response time required; coverage includes both inpatient and outpatient call responsibilities
Practice Setting and Requirements:
- Patient Care: Inpatient and outpatient, with hospital admissions required
- Patient Volume: Variable, based on shift and department needs
- Specialty Skills: General Otolaryngology, Surgical and Non-Surgical Procedures
- Key Procedures: Septal, Sinus, Endoscopic, Laryngoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Tracheotomy, Thyroidectomy, Parotidectomy, Radical Neck Surgery, Facial Reconstruction, Blepharoplasty, and Rhinoplasty
- Advanced Skills: Experience in complex head and neck procedures is preferred
- Rounding: Required for both inpatient and outpatient care
Certification and Licensing Requirements:
- Board Certification: Required, with eligibility acceptable
- Fellowship: Preferred but not required
- Licensure: Must be licensed in Montana or eligible through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
- Certification Needs: ACLS and BLS are required
Support and Resources:
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner
- Support Staff: Includes RN, MA, PA/NP, and administrative office support
- Privileges and Credentialing: Hospital and surgery center privileges required, with a credentialing timeframe of approximately 90 days
- Insurance and Travel: Insurance provided by vendor; nearby airport is Billings Logan International Airport, with lodging options available nearby
